The original song “Maktub” is a soft pop-reggaeton track, but because the lyrics in the chorus are in Portuguese, Jairo and I decided to make a remix full of Brazilian flavor. Taking inspiration from genres like axé, samba, pagode, and funk, “Maktub (Remix)” is a fresh fusion of Brazilian sounds, made even more upbeat with Jairo’s lyrical contributions and campy vocals. The remix is a true collaboration between international artists.
